Who makes this

Aesthetic Quiz is made by 1000 Ventures, a small team that builds free, focused web tools. Our other tools find your color season, face shape, body shape and foundation shade. The site is written and maintained by the team. We do not use invented experts or fake reviews.

How the quizzes work

There are three quizzes: the main aesthetic quiz with 12 questions, and the clothing and room quizzes with 8 each. All three return one of the same 10 aesthetics.

Each question has five answers. Each answer gives 2 points to the aesthetic it fits best and 1 point to a related one. Inside every question, each of the 10 aesthetics appears exactly once. That means every aesthetic can reach the same top score, so the quiz has no favorite. Our automated tests check this rule every time the site is built.

Your result is the aesthetic with the most points. A tie goes to the one you picked as a first choice more often. The mix shows each style's share of your points.

The scoring runs in your browser. Your answers are never sent to us. See the privacy policy for the one anonymous count we do keep.

What the result can and cannot tell you

The quiz sorts your taste into well-known styles. It does not measure your personality, and there is no scientific test for an aesthetic. It is a fun, quick way to name a look and get ideas, and that is how we suggest you use it.

Where our information comes from

Each aesthetic page explains the style's history and lists its sources, mostly encyclopedia articles that cite fashion press and academic work. The palettes and key pieces are our own summaries of how each style is commonly shown. They are not taken from any brand.

If you spot a mistake, or think we have a style wrong, please tell us. We fix errors quickly.

How this is funded

The site is free. It may show ads in the future. Ads will never change your quiz result or what we write about a style.
